Pharmacy Technician pilot

Purpose: evaluate MedMathMindset as an adjunct for healthcare numeracy, retrieval, confidence calibration, transfer, and provider-relevant practice without replacing your curriculum or LMS.

1 · Set up

Create the cohort in three steps.

Create free account

Open the facilitator registration path. Cohort creation is available immediately; verification is reserved for protected high-stakes workflows.

Create cohort

Choose Pharmacy Technician and accept or edit the suggested cohort name. Advanced term settings are optional.

Share student link

MedMathMindset generates the enrollment link and join code automatically. Paste the link wherever your learners already receive course communication.

2 · Launch checklist

Keep faculty administration intentionally small.

Take the 3–5 minute public Performance Challenge yourself so you understand the learner-facing demonstration.
Create one cohort for one provider track rather than launching program-wide on day one.
Copy the MedMathMindset enrollment link into the LMS, email, syllabus, or class message you already use.
Tell learners participation is optional unless your institution independently makes it a course requirement.
Explain that new learners can begin with a 7-day trial; current public pricing after trial is $15 for 3 months when affiliated and $20 independently.
Do not upload a roster or student email list; learners join themselves through the cohort link.
Keep the public challenge separate from formal Starting Point, Prescription, MathPulse, and certification decisions.
3 · Copy-ready learner message

Paste this into your LMS or class communication.

After the cohort is created, the Students & Cohorts screen also provides a launch message containing the actual enrollment link.

4 · Suggested pilot flow

Use repeated exposure without turning the pilot into another course.

PhaseEducator actionWhat to notice
Before launchTake the public challenge and identify the provider track.Whether the demonstration makes the accuracy/transfer/calibration distinction clear.
LaunchCreate the cohort and share the one enrollment link.Whether learners can self-enroll without faculty troubleshooting.
Early useHave participating learners establish their Starting Point and begin prescribed/provider-specific work.Initial domain gaps, confidence alignment, and where support appears concentrated.
During pilotEncourage brief, repeated practice instead of a single large remediation session. Allow quiet or optional game formats as appropriate.Return engagement, persistence, domain evidence, and whether changed contexts expose retrieval friction.
ReviewCompare MedMathMindset patterns with your existing classroom, simulation, quiz, and remediation observations.Whether the information is actionable and whether the workflow saves or adds faculty effort.
5 · Review questions

Decide whether the pilot earned a larger rollout.

Adoption

Did learners join and return without repeated faculty prompting?

Instructional signal

Did domain, confidence, transfer, or MathPulse information reveal something you could act on?

Learner experience

Did learners find the practice understandable, usable on mobile, and flexible enough to fit around their schedule?

Faculty burden

Did self-enrollment and the analytics/support tools reduce friction compared with your current remediation process?

Transfer

Did learners become more consistent when the same quantitative relationship appeared in a changed presentation or context?

Next step

Is there enough useful evidence to continue, expand to another cohort, or revise how the resource is introduced?

6 · Guardrails

Use the information for support, not overinterpretation.

Public Performance Challenge: a four-item demonstration, not a standardized score, grade, readiness decision, placement test, diagnosis, or certification result.

Learning signals: confidence, challenge load, timing, context, and related information are intended to support educator judgment. They do not lower the required healthcare-math standard or replace accommodations, course policy, or professional judgment.

Pilot evidence: a small local pilot can inform your implementation decision; it should not be represented as proof of population-level effectiveness without an appropriate study design.
